A Sporty and Musical November

November promises another exciting mix of events in Curaçao. From an international running event to an evening celebrating local tumba music and a concert featuring two major Latin music stars, there is something for a wide range of interests. Here are three events to look forward to this month.

KLM Curaçao Marathon: Running and Island Experiences

On November 28 and 29, 2026, Curaçao will once again host the KLM Curaçao Marathon. This annual running event attracts participants from around the world, offering them a unique way to experience the island. The program features several distances, including the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. This means there is something for everyone, from experienced marathon runners to those who prefer a shorter run or walk.

The course takes participants along the coastline, through colorful streets, and past well-known landmarks. More than just an athletic challenge, the marathon offers runners a chance to experience the island’s scenery and character along the way. The event brings local runners and international visitors together, further strengthening Curaçao’s reputation as a destination for sports and active experiences.

Karaoke Tumba Song Festival

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, Curaçao’s music scene takes center stage at the Karaoke Tumba Song Festival. Held on the rooftop terrace of the Curaçao Festival Center, the event gives participants the opportunity to perform their favorite tumba songs and compete for the title of Rei or Reina di Karaoke Tumba 2026.

Tumba is deeply rooted in Curaçao’s musical identity and traditionally plays an important role during the island’s Carnival season. The karaoke event gives music lovers the chance to perform this distinctive local genre and showcase their talent to an audience. Those who prefer to enjoy the performances rather than take the stage are welcome to attend as well. DJ Aqualon will keep the music going between performances.

The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and continues into the night, offering a relaxed and accessible way to experience Curaçao’s local music culture.

Romeo Santos and Prince Royce

Fans of Latin music can head to the Curaçao Festival Center on November 7 for the Mejor Tarde Que Nunca Tour, featuring Romeo Santos and Prince Royce. The two internationally acclaimed artists are bringing their joint tour to the island for a concert celebrating bachata.

Romeo Santos is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in modern bachata. Prince Royce has also achieved international success with his blend of bachata, pop, and R&B. Together, both artists have played a significant role in bringing the genre to a broader global audience.

The concert offers fans the opportunity to experience their music live. With their signature sounds and romantic hits, the performance promises to be a memorable addition to Curaçao’s November events calendar.

From athletic achievements along the coastline to a celebration of local music and an evening of international Latin sounds, November once again highlights the diversity of events that make Curaçao such a vibrant island.
