Diverse International Lineup
With the announcement of its final wave of artists, the lineup for the 2026 Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival is now complete. Taking place from September 3–5, the festival once again brings together a diverse program spanning jazz, Latin music, reggae, soul, pop, and Caribbean sounds. The lineup reinforces the festival’s reputation as one of the Caribbean’s premier music events.
The 2026 program reflects the festival’s longstanding commitment to presenting a blend of internationally recognized artists, acclaimed jazz performers, and musicians deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the Caribbean and Latin America. This balance of global appeal and regional influence remains a defining characteristic of the event.
International Stars and Caribbean Influences
This year’s lineup brings together multiple generations of artists and a wide range of musical styles. J Balvin, Sean Paul, and Gente de Zona represent some of the most influential names in contemporary Latin and Caribbean popular music, highlighting the continued global impact of these genres.
Reggae will also have a prominent presence with Stephen Marley, who continues the musical legacy of one of the genre’s most influential families. Joining him is Kassav’, the pioneering group credited with creating and popularizing zouk, a musical style that has shaped Caribbean music since the 1980s.
Another notable addition is The Jacksons, whose contribution to American pop and soul music spans decades. Their inclusion adds a significant legacy act to a lineup that bridges both contemporary and classic music audiences.
Jazz Remains at the Festival’s Core
While the festival has evolved into a multi-genre event, jazz remains central to its identity. This commitment is reflected in the participation of artists such as Jon Batiste, Branford Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, Monty Alexander, and Al Di Meola.
Jon Batiste is widely recognized for his ability to move seamlessly between jazz, soul, gospel, and pop. Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves will present a tribute project honoring jazz icon John Coltrane, while Jamaican pianist Monty Alexander continues to showcase his distinctive blend of jazz, reggae, and calypso influences.
Guitarist Al Di Meola, one of the leading figures in jazz fusion, further strengthens the festival’s jazz credentials. Together, these artists demonstrate the festival’s ongoing dedication to presenting world-class jazz alongside a broader contemporary music program.
Three Days, Three Distinct Musical Profiles
The festival schedule is organized across three days, each featuring its own musical focus.
Thursday, September 3, will spotlight Latin American rhythms with performances by Alain Pérez y La Orquesta and Gente de Zona.
Friday, September 4, offers one of the most diverse programs of the weekend, featuring Rubén Blades, Toto, Sean Paul, The Jacksons, PJ Morton, Monty Alexander Jamericana, and South Korean artist JEON.
Saturday, September 5, will present a mix of jazz, reggae, Latin, and Caribbean music with performances by Jon Batiste, J Balvin, Stephen Marley, Kassav’, Branford Marsalis & Dianne Reeves, Al Di Meola Ensemble, and Afro 23.
A Meeting Point for Global Music
The 2026 lineup illustrates how the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival has grown beyond the boundaries of a traditional jazz festival. Today, it serves as a platform where diverse musical cultures converge, bringing together internationally established artists and performers who reflect the rich musical heritage of the Caribbean.
With the full lineup now confirmed, the 2026 edition promises a broad and engaging overview of contemporary developments in jazz, Latin music, reggae, soul, and popular music. Over the course of three days, the festival will once again offer audiences an opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of musical traditions and artistic perspectives on a single stage.
