Construction Hours

Respecting the Peace and Quiet of Our Community

Construction is an important part of Hòfi Sint Joris’s continued development, but it also comes with a responsibility to respect the people who live here. To maintain a peaceful and pleasant community, all property owners and contractors are expected to comply with the applicable construction hours and site access rules.

We have observed instances of contractors entering the community and carrying out work at inappropriate hours, including early mornings, late evenings, Sundays, and public holidays. Such activities can create unnecessary noise and disturb residents.

As outlined in our previous article, Construction Guidelines, construction activities that generate noise or cause a disturbance are not permitted on Sundays and public holidays. Quiet activities, such as painting, are allowed, provided they do not cause any disturbance to nearby residents.

The public holidays concerned include:

  • New Year’s Day (January 1)
  • The Monday following the Grand Carnival Parade
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Sunday and Easter Monday
  • King’s Day (April 27)
  • Labor Day (May 1)
  • Ascension Day
  • Dia di Himno i Bandera (July 2)
  • Dia di Pais Kòrsou (October 10)
  • Christmas Day and Boxing Day (December 25 and 26)

Please note that the dates of certain holidays, including Carnival, Easter, Good Friday, and Ascension Day, vary from year to year.

Property owners are responsible for ensuring that their contractors and subcontractors are aware of and comply with these rules. Please review the applicable construction hours and site access requirements with your contractor in advance and ensure they are followed. Access to the community outside the permitted hours is not allowed.

By working together and respecting these guidelines, we can ensure that Hòfi Sint Joris remains a pleasant place to live while development continues. Thank you for your cooperation.
