HOA Independence

HOA Independence

The transition toward greater independence for the Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) in Sections A through F at Hòfi Sint Joris is progressing. In recent months, important steps have been taken toward financial independence. At the same time, preparations are underway to transfer management of the individual sections and shared community infrastructure.

Financial Independence

Member-approved budgets are now in place for both Stichting Hòfi Sint Joris and the HOAs in Sections A through F. These budgets include revised HOA dues aligned with the costs and responsibilities of each organization.

Under the approved budgets, the HOAs will, for the first time, fully cover their own operating expenses as well as their respective shares of the foundation’s costs. This establishes a financial framework for the HOAs to carry out their responsibilities independently while clarifying how costs are allocated between the associations and the foundation.

Transfer of Section Management

In parallel with these financial developments, preparations are underway to transfer management of each section to its respective HOA board. The transfers will take place in alphabetical order over the coming period, following a structured process in which the developer formally hands over each section to its HOA board.

Once the transfer is complete, each HOA will be responsible for managing its own section. The transition process includes coordination among the parties involved to ensure that responsibilities and arrangements are clearly defined.

Shared Infrastructure and Community Amenities

The next phase also includes the handover of shared infrastructure and community amenities to Stichting Hòfi Sint Joris. These include the main access road, irrigation systems, sports and recreation facilities, and security infrastructure. Following the handover, the foundation will assume responsibility for managing these shared facilities.

The developer will continue to provide interim support for management operations during the transition. This arrangement is intended to maintain continuity and prevent any gaps in the operation or management of the facilities.

Coordinating the Transition

The financial independence of the HOAs and the transfer of management responsibilities are interconnected parts of a broader organizational transition at Hòfi Sint Joris. The parties involved are meeting regularly to finalize arrangements, document agreements, and closely monitor implementation.

The coming period will focus on completing the transfers in stages and establishing the respective management responsibilities of the HOAs and the foundation. The objective is for each HOA to independently manage its own section, while Stichting Hòfi Sint Joris oversees shared infrastructure and amenities serving the community as a whole.
