The Role of the Owners’ Association at Hòfi Sint Joris

The Owners’ Association (VvE) plays a central role in managing Hòfi Sint Joris. The VvE is responsible for the maintenance of shared assets within the sections, including access roads, green areas, technical installations, and communal facilities. Additionally, the VvE oversees financial obligations arising from services provided by the overarching Hòfi Sint Joris Foundation, such as security, electricity, and the upkeep of main and access roads. Through this management, the VvE ensures a well-maintained living environment for all owners, promoting both quality and safety.

Mandatory and Essential Membership Contributions

The VvE can only fulfill its responsibilities if membership contributions are paid on time and in full. Each owner is legally required to contribute to the VvE, as stipulated in the deed and bylaws. Contributions fund the maintenance of shared assets, services invoiced by the Foundation, and payments to third parties, such as for the main road. It is important to understand that failure to pay contributions affects not only the individual owner but the entire VvE. Shortfalls directly limit the capacity for maintenance and security, potentially impacting community safety and functionality.

Timely Payment Ensures Continuity

To safeguard continuous management, membership contributions should be paid monthly in advance. Some owners choose to pay the full annual amount at once, which is fully acceptable. Timely payment is crucial to cover the ongoing costs of the VvE and the Foundation. Delays in payment can lead to liquidity issues, putting essential services at risk.

Awareness and Compliance

By raising awareness and keeping members informed about how contributions are used, Hòfi Sint Joris encourages compliance with payment obligations. This is vital not only for the upkeep of communal facilities but also for the stability and continuity of the entire community.

Questions and Clarifications

Owners with questions regarding contributions, billing, or the allocation of funds can contact their Section’s VvE via the email address provided on invoices or reminders. Hòfi Sint Joris is committed to providing clarification where needed and supporting a clear understanding of shared responsibilities within the VvEs.
