Increased participation requested for HOAs of Hòfi Sint Joris
Within Hòfi Sint Joris, the Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) play a key role in the management, maintenance, and collective decision-making across the various sections of the resort. Well-functioning boards contribute to clear communication, careful decision-making, and a stable organizational structure.
In recent periods, there has been a growing need for more active participation from owners within the HOA boards of sections A through F. Preference is given to boards in which owners themselves are directly represented. This ensures that the interests of residents and property owners remain clearly reflected in decision-making and that the connection with the broader community remains strong.
Participation within the HOAs
A board composed of engaged owners typically has strong insight into what is happening within the community. Matters related to maintenance, finances, safety, and livability can therefore be discussed and assessed more effectively. Broader representation also strengthens transparency and support within the community.
A board position requires time and responsibility, but it also offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the development of one’s living environment. Within a community such as Hòfi Sint Joris, owner involvement is essential for maintaining a balanced and future-oriented organization.
The Role of the Foundation
In addition to the HOA boards, the Hòfi Sint Joris Foundation also holds an important governance role within the organization. The Foundation is responsible for shared facilities within the resort, including the management of common amenities, entering into obligations, and overseeing the overall financial administration of Hòfi Sint Joris.
A significant portion of the individual HOA budgets consists of allocated costs from these shared facilities and services. As a result, decisions made at the foundation level have a direct impact on the financial position of the various HOAs.
Within the Foundation, as within the HOAs, several key board roles are essential, including chairperson, secretary, and treasurer. These roles are not limited to representation of the different sections, but explicitly involve active governance and joint decision-making on matters affecting the entire resort.
Call for Interested Owners
For this reason, there is a need for active participation from all sections, both within the HOAs and within the Foundation. Owners who are interested in a governance or representative role are invited to register their interest with the chairperson of their respective HOA or directly with the Hòfi Sint Joris board. Applicants may indicate their preferred role, such as chairperson, secretary, treasurer, or Foundation representative.
Governance experience and knowledge of HOA processes are considered an advantage, but commitment, a strong sense of responsibility, and a willingness to actively contribute are equally important.
